Recipe: Cinnamon Swirl Cake
One of my favorite desserts in the whole world are cinnamon buns – and I’m going to make them very soon. I wanted to bake last night, and decided to do this Cinnamon Swirl cake – and I must say, it definitely goes in my top baked goods list. Enjoy, do let me know if you end up trying it. Happy Monday!

WHAT YOU NEED:
For the Cake:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups white sugar
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the swirl:
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoon white granulated sugar
For the glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
About 1 1/2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
THE STEPS:
1. Preheat the oven to 170C degrees.
2. Whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a mixing bowl set aside. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well before adding the next. Beat in sour cream and vanilla. Add the flour mixture, and mix till combined.
3. After greasing your cake pan, Pour half the batter into the pan and spread evenly. Mix the swirl ingredients in a small bowl. Sprinkle around the center of the batter, and cover with the rest of the batter.
4. Bake for 50 minutes, then cool for 15 minutes.
5. For the glaze, Add the powdered sugar to a mixing bowl, stir in enough milk to create a thick glaze. Stir in the cinnamon, and then drizzle over the top of the cake.
